Ranch Manager Opening

Position Description:

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced, Ranch Operations Manager for a thriving, busy, full-service equestrian center located in Castle Rock, Colorado. Castle Rock is in Douglas County and is one of the fastest growing cities in the US. In 2014, Money Magazine, a Time company, rated Castle Rock the 4th best place to live in the United States.

Bell Mountain Ranch Equestrian Center (BMREC), is a state-of-the-art, technology-driven, equestrian ranch, with a pioneering approach to horse care for the 21st century. Customers and communication are the forefront of our purpose, and we focus on personal leadership development within our talented operations team.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with computer operating systems, spreadsheet creation and analysis, Customer Relationship Management software, and have the ability to learn new technology specific for this job. He or she will be working with other companies and members of the community on a regular basis through ongoing coordination and formal meetings. This person will also be responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with employees, customers, vendors, contractors, and community stakeholders.

The Ranch Manager must be able to manage customer and community issues with a cool and level head; always maintaining a respectful, professional relationship. He or she will be able to manage employee productivity through clear instructions and necessary corrections. Striving to be a “drama-free” facility, we thrive on clear, respectful communication and self-awareness, and we use these to disway potential issues before they emerge, as well as to handle those that occur despite our best efforts to prevent them proactively. The ability to communicate effectively and positively is a must. The ideal candidate will also know how to control conversation length, preventing excessive downtime.

Candidate must be able to delegate tasks to others, supervise team leads in a positive, productive manner, be well organized and have the ability to properly prioritize multiple, sometimes competing, tasks. He or she will also be responsible for initiating, planning and executing events and coordinating projects.

The Ranch Manager MUST live on site, be a non-smoker, be clean and able to help maintain our family-friendly atmosphere. This is a long-term, full time position. Horse knowledge and experience is required, and business management experience is strongly preferred. Pasture and land management knowledge and skill is an advantage.

Stall Master Openings

Bell Mountain Ranch Equestrian Center is looking for a new Stall Master! Our Stall Masters muck stalls, turn out horses, throw hay, and sweep barns. Office Administrator Opening

BMREC is currently looking for an experienced, part-time Office Administrator. This position will play a critical role in supporting our staff and helping our boarders and riders. Our Office Admins are the face of the ranch, guides for our boarders and riders, and support for our other staff members. Our Office Administrator works roughly 20-hours a week, particularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills,

  • Experience in customer support,

  • A comfort with computers, and

  • A willingness to learn and help

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting visitors and help them with billing, services, and more

  • Conducting clerical duties, including filing, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents

  • Provide administrative support for trainers and other staff

  • Interacting with customers live through our website, on the phone, and in the office
